# Kanban (2-Bin System)

Nobody should have to remember to reorder. With Kanban, the empty bin itself is the order, and stock stays just where it should be. Watch the short video, then work with the toolkit PDF: it explains the method, shows a worked example and gives you a blank template to fill in.

Tool video

The short tool video will appear here.

## Kanban (2-Bin System) in short

1. **Pick the items.** Start with frequently used, low-value items with stable demand.
2. **Size the bins.** One bin covers demand during the refill time, plus a small safety buffer.
3. **Make the signal clear.** Card on each bin: item, quantity, location, supplier.
4. **Define the loop.** Who collects empty bins, when, and how fast they come back full.
5. **Review and adjust.** Check stock-outs and overstock monthly. Resize bins when demand changes.

Key points

- Consumption triggers replenishment.
- The empty bin is the order.
- Bin size limits inventory.
- Review sizes regularly.
