## DMAIC Milestone Plan in short

1. **Start from your goal.** When must the result be achieved?
2. **Set the five milestones.** One per phase: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control.
3. **Define completion criteria.** What must be true for each milestone to be reached?
4. **Use realistic dates.** Plan for holidays, availability and data collection time.
5. **Check the total duration.** If it feels impossible, adjust your scope or your goal, not your optimism.
