Kanban (2-Bin System) in short
- Pick the items. Start with frequently used, low-value items with stable demand.
- Size the bins. One bin covers demand during the refill time, plus a small safety buffer.
- Make the signal clear. Card on each bin: item, quantity, location, supplier.
- Define the loop. Who collects empty bins, when, and how fast they come back full.
- Review and adjust. Check stock-outs and overstock monthly. Resize bins when demand changes.
